Topic saving is acting up in both Safari and Firefox. Whenever I attempt to save a topic or click on "Saved Topics," I get a very long error message (see attached).

I noticed I didn't get a PM message while I did have one when logging in. It also didn't appear in the top right corner where it usually does.

Topic saving was messed up, not having anything to do with browsers, at the time of his post.

It seems to be working now. And oddly enough, I think the topics I was trying to save actually show up on my list. Was it just the interface that wasn't working?

It was a bug with the PHP backend, I don't remember or care about the details.

Another issue regarding a feature I like but may be the only person to use: downloading threads as text yields a file that just has the names of all the posters, but none of the actual post content.

It's still not working at all for me (Firefox 3, automatically updated today). I just get a list of who posted and when.

Strike Through not working

First noticed with Internet Explorer 7 in my last post and now testing with Firefox 2. This sentence is struck through.

Using the advanced editor, I highlight a sentence and click on the ABC (Strike Through) button. The stike line appears as expected in the edit box. But upon preview or posting the strike line is not rendered.

PC

Edit: My apologies if this is already reported. I used the "Search thread for" feature to look for "strike" and found nothing. Even after this original post it finds nothing.

Everytime I try to login on the login area on the front page, it says login incorrect, but whenever I login where I'm redirected (not the login on the top right but the other one, it works. It's been like this for a few weeks now, and I keep thinking that I typed my password wrong, but after trying again and again, it still says the same thing.

Yes, it's happened whenever I log into PF on other computers on my campus too.

Don't know if it's just me, but when I click the FORUMS button at the top of a thread, it doesn't take me anywhere. The link a bit lower, where it tells me where I am works fine though, so it's not a big problem.

Are you talking about the links in the upper right (forums, links, articles, gallery, chat)? Those just switch between the various functions that PF offers. If you're already on the forums, the "forums" link won't bring you anywhere. If you want to get back to the front page, click on the Philosophy Forums logo in the upper left.

Didn't realize anyone would use that, I always click the logo to go back to the front index. Changed the forums link to do that too.

Why thank you, Sir. It's probably just an old man's brain malfunction that I prefer links on the right. I never even noticed that the logo was a link.rolling eyes
