The texting linguo you like to use was made specifically for phone use to take less time to make each text message. The computer takes less time to type, so there is no need for time saving contractions and abbreviations. It's not that people aren't familiar with txting language, it just seems rather redundant to constantly have to read statements such as "r u slfish 2 value ur life over ne1 else?" or something of the sort. Can you imagine trying to read a 3 paragraph post in this language? A 2 sentence text, I can live with, but that sort of text just makes an in depth philosophical discussion difficult. By typing normal, I don't feel smarter, I feel like I'm typing on a goddam computer. Deal with it. Save the texting for the goddam phone. Not everything needs to be simplified to the point where it's difficult to understand. You want to keep using that sort of style, find a philosophy forum sponsered by verizon. Don't worry, she can't here you anymore, Paul has catapulted her into oblivion. Now she is doomed to text messaging from accross the Styx, but she can never get the letters to come out right and she is compelled to write the same message over and over again, correcting the typos, but it never become legible nonetheless... Paul is a cruel cruel deity.

He giveth and he taketh away, he is cruel and mercyful. Nahh, my crystal ball is intact, it is horrible on the other side, especially for the illiterates. Paul has it in for them you see.

If Paul were a deity, he'd be doing nothing about the idiots and letting us figure out how to deal with them. Paul's more of a glorified garbage man in the best sense of the term.

Sure, to be bluntly honest is usually rude. There's a difference between being rude as a matter of habitual directness and desire to cut to the point (which a large percentage of us here are) and actually trying to hurt someone with words, and more difference between trying to be hurtful and telling people to kill themselves. Then there's an infinite difference between making a post which has a point but is rude, versus just flaming or trolling. In the case of a thread like this, of course, the whole topic was complete flaming so the rules are off and the best bet is to have a little fun with it.
