In examining the classic Bohr model of the atom, we see that the very simple circular motions of electrons could not be further from the truth. Uncertainty says that an electron can and sometimes must be in more than one place at a time. Electrons seem to swarm everywhere at once. However light in space always traces a straight line unless there is matter close.

Gravity is a very peculiar force. It is many millions of times weaker than electromagnetism. But there is one instance where they seem balanced, a black hole. Photons are not only unable to escape the pull of gravity but the event horizon is also known as the photosphere where space is curved into a perfect circle and the straight line in space that light wants to trace is infinitely curved.

The philosophy underneath is that a circle is aptly named perfect. A revelation came when noticing that the large scale gravity structures always have elliptical orbits. The only perfect circle associated with gravity is a black hole.

A circle is one of the oldest religious symbols in history. Whether the sun, moon, or earth, it is often associated with the sacred feminine and also infinity. I think an interesting thought is if gravity could exist on the quantum level, that is to say one unit of gravity, the tiny unit of space it takes up has infinite curvature and the quanta that make up electromagnetic force DOES occupy a perfectly circular orbit in perfectly curved spacetime.

Are the elliptical bulges dependant on the gravitational constant G or on the ratio of the two masses (in a two body system)?

It is not that I think I know, it is that I know when I think.
