So I'm currently reading The Raw Shark Texts by Steve Hall, and various aspects of its storyline have made me think quite a bit. I suggest any of you other deep thinkers to give this book a read, especially if you're into authors like Chuck Palahniuk and such.

Anyway, there was a certain passage in the book that struck me quite profoundly...I was trying to find it on the internet, but instead I found a video version of it on youtube, and narrated by Tilda Swinton no less!

It opens up some very interesting ideas. Do you think that ideas, concepts, images, and emotions have some sort of existence beyond the human mind? Are they truly non-physical entities, or something else?

Honestly I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I've been wanting to discuss it with some people because I find it very interesting, and it's something I've thought about before even reading the book.
