Sorry if this has been brought up in the past.....

I believe the ever wanted answers to life, come from the “smallest discrete quantity of some physical property that a system can posses” (according to quantum theory).

For too long has humanity looked to the vast distances of space and the universe, to find ever wanted answers, only to come up short and dis-satisfied.

However quantum physics now reveals new evidence, in which the atomic and sub-atomic levels of matter do not abide by the laws of physics. Thus a once thought controllable nature, has now opened new debate of spirituality and the resurrection of certain philosophies and possibilities, rather then actualities. ---- http://www.theevidence.org/episodes/episode15-mor...

Comments, Questions, debate - whatever...

Respectfully,
Cjwalker

Quantum theory still lacks any real implications on metaphysics in the way of evidentiary support. The science has inspired much in the way of interpretation and speculation on the evidence is yields, but I doubt that it offers any true "answers" that the vast distances of the universe apparently cannot provide. I am not denying that quantum physics is a fascinating subject in the realm of science and intellectual advancement; I only deny that the so-called "answers" that it can give are nothing different that the metaphysics philosophers have been positing for the past two thousand years or so.

In this respect, keep quantum theory out of philosophy, except as a refutation for the ill-begotten notion of hard determinism.

Philosophers of science have been investigating the metaphysical and epistemological implications of quantum mechanics for years. There are some quite interesting results.

Still, the link in question is pretty much spam.

Everything here can be picked apart.

I will tackle this: "new evidence, in which the atomic and sub-atomic levels of matter do not abide by the laws of physics."

Terminology - words are such important things. The means with which we pass on concepts. In the sentence above the use of the terminology - "laws of physics" needs to be scrapped. It is fodder for people who lack conceptual understanding of science methodology. *All science is the pursuit of the proper abstraction of concepts of existent reality.

So the remainder of your post is fallacious (being set up with a false premiss).

* Simplifying do to lack of time.
