I'm doing a research paper on Heidegger and I want to use the quote, " to dwell is to garden". I've only seen it referenced but I'm not sure what text it's located in. If anyone could help guide me which text (I think it's in Basic Writings) and what section or even a page number, then you would be saving me a lot of time. Thank you.

My guess is "Being, Dwelling, Thinking," no? There are a few related passages in the later bit of "The Origin of the Work of Art," but BDT seems like the best bet. Unfortunately, I don't have my copy of the Basic Writings here with me, so I can't help more than that.

If you're sure it's in TOWA, then I think it comes in the section called "The Work and Truth," probably (I'm guessing from the presentation notes I have on my computer) around page 167 or so. That's where he discusses the Greek temple, and how the God's presence in it is the very extension and delimitation of that precinct's holy character.
