If it's in West London I might be able to make it. Not sure about East or South London... ok, maybe North as well. Deal?

I would like to meet up with somebody to talk : ) I live in Oklahoma as shown under my avatar--maybe someone from N. Texas or S. Kansas, etc? Also, it would be helpful if people would list their Location if they're really serious about meeting, instead of stuff like "here" or "other there" (or none at all) in some bad attempt to seem witty.

I am always game to both visit people or have people over. At the moment I am entertraining a global studies lecturer from NY. Another friend of mine and him nearly got into a fist fights over china. Also, we took him hill walking on the rain on his first day in the country, but apparently my cooking made up for it, although, it could have been the log fire.

I will be going to Scotland for hard core mountain walking in August for two weeks if there is anyone there. Also, my thirtieth is going to take place in Amsterdam in two weeks if there is anyone around. Going over with four Irish lads and another two will be joining us. HOwever, the amsterdam enterprise will lack on any intellectual substance, I fear standing should be challenging enough, never mind articulating a word.

I forgot to mention that i am based in the west of Ireland.

If anyone is in the Netherlands and think they can carry a conversation that isn't about philosophy you're welcome to pass by. PM me for details.

Anyway, Tobi, we still need to plan another meet! We're such asses for not just picking a day. And tell your father it is forbidden to have anymore parties when you have appointments with me!

With the amount of time some of us spend on this site, it would be pretty weird to see what each of us is like in person. I'm pretty different from how I come off on these pages... It's like we just get a one sided story about each person. That's why I like those interviews that were going on for a while (not sure if they're still happening), but they kind of give a glimps into each person, more about their life and what they're doing.

I actually felt bad about my interview because I didn't say too much about myself, just more about what someone could have got from reading my posts. Paul, I was wondering if you could just set something like this up for us PF'ers:

grin

Well, I'm in Michigan, and I suppose if someone wanted to meet up arranging a place somewhere at somepoint wouldn't be out of the question. And meeting in Toronto isn't all that unrealistic for me... especially if a number of people were to meet there, I'd definately be in. Chicago and Detroit work even better (since I'd have friends to stay with there). So I'm just putting my info out there for any organizer's consideration wink

Possible Locations: Chicago, Detroit, and Toronto. Possibly LA in the future.

Yes you are are right Benkei. Life is hectic at the moment. I am at the brink of renting a new house anyway and than of course moving. But the coming week should be possible to arrange a time and place. Ahh and I informed my father grin

I actually met up with two persons I encounterd on another forum. I visited one of them and then they both visited me. If ever a meet is planned not too far from American Midwest I would consider wandering over.

Ok, why does it seem like every poster here is from Europe or Western America? (Something about land of fruits and nuts comes to mind. No offense meant, but all self styled philosophers, and even those not self styled, are a little wacky) I'm from New England. Which explains why I just insulted the entire population of this forum.
Oh well, Hoka Hey!
