So, in browsing some streamable movies, I happened across a movie called "Camp Fema: American Lockdown". I do not want to present this as a movie that entails either truth or fiction, but I feel that it is a good example of how things can be represented in a highly threatening light. No doubt this is a conspiracy theory movie, but while it has dubitable information, it also has some information that is quite enlightening.

Really, I do not expect anyone to sit through an hour and a half of this movie. The main speakers are Radio talk show hosts (e.g. Ale Jones) accompanied by many movie clips from Fox News as well as the Presidential candidates for the Constitution Party and the Libretarian party. However, the main issue proposed by the movie is that the political infrastructure for the legal detainment of US citizens is being constructed. At first I though that the angle from which this movie is coming from was more right wing in that they repeatedly make the point that Pro-Lifers, Gun owners, and self-formed militias are considered potential domestic terrorists, I soon realized that this movie was most likely produced by Libretarians, for the movie really forms an argument against Government in general.

Perhaps the more loathsome comparisons are made are when they compare the current American government to the Nazi party, attempting to parallel the main points of manipulating public opinion and legitimating the containment of citizens. The soundtrack while all this is being shown is really great, and makes you feel like there's a war going on.

Even more, the movie seems to contradict itself, showing a huge amount of clips from Fox News for accreditation, but then, at the same time, criticizing many FOX news reporters. There are actually a host of contradictions I noticed which I lethargically forgot to write down, but I did want to ask the forum for more information, and perhaps a bit of opinion, on what it thinks.

The video is correct in its interpretation of the Patriot Act (as I see it), and if it is true that mobile prison infrastructure is being manufactured on the levels they say, I do wonder what it is for. I suppose I'm really looking for anyone that can make a decent, untainted argument on behalf of the premise of this video, one that might actually be credible. As with any conspiracy video, it has some interesting information. Like how the Boy scouts are being trained to disarm gun owners, or how the government has practiced subduing populations in Seattle.

As it stands, however, I cannot really believe this video. The facts not only seem super-arranged to fit a certain perspective, but they even do a really lame Unsolved Mysteries-style reenactment of thought police. By that point, I decided that the movie had no credibility. But perhaps there truly are Fema camps (I know that FEMA conspiracies predate the establishment of the Department of Homeland Security), and there is something to worry about.

I apologize ahead of time for presenting a topic based around a conspiracy theory, but it is still worthy of evaluation, and I am interested in the discussion that may ensue.
