Switching between browsers, I noticed that the [code] tag works differently in Safari and Firefox. On Firefox, the code window gets its own scroll bar to keep word wrap from breaking, but on Safari it does not. Is this just due to the inferiority of Safari as a browser?

It's a weeny niggle. When you click on the latest post direct from the main page, you end up somewhere in the middle of the thread, not at the end. Is it something to do with shortening the no of posts per page, or did I imagine that? It doesn't happen on the forum pages, only the main page.

Also, by way of advertising my laziness: if there was one of these Philosophy Forums » Feedback » Ugh Reports » Ugh Reports at the bottom of the page, then after admiring my handiwork for a few moments, I would not need to scroll all the way uphill to the top to carry on. rolling eyes

That doesn't happen for me in Firefox. What browser are you using?

I would not need to scroll all the way uphill to the top to carry on

Which is why your keyboard has a "home" key.

I'm using Firefox too. And it's not doing it now, so either I or my computer has just been having a fit of madness.

Correction. It just did it again; clicking on the polite idiots thread, took me to the bottom of page 3 instead of page 6. But the long thread man versus machine, that I just posted on worked fine this time, though I was having problems with it before.confused

Is the server time displayed somewhere? I just went to make my first shout of the morning, only to be told I had already made five today. How can I tell when I will be able to shout again? Or should I just start a favorite recipes thread?

Everytime I click on the little arrow that is supposed to take me to the latest post on a thread, I end up in an empty, non-existing page of that thread. Say a given thread has 2 pages: when I click the arrow, I end up in page 6, where there's obviously no post. It's very annoying when one tries to look over a thread with multiple pages.

I'm using Safari on Windows XP

You're probably not logged in. Guests get old versions of stuff.
