Subject: Another name for 'philosophy club'

Hi, I'm trying to name my club something other than just 'philosophy club,' which sounds bland and boring. In this club, we basically discuss the topics that go one in this forum. Does anyone have any ideas for a better name? I've come up with "Psychology and Philosophy Club", "Discussion Club," "Debate group" and all sorts of whatnots. Any thoughtful suggestions will be appreciated.

Thank you.

How old are you; what's the club for? How about:

"the infinitely-syllabic words club"

"you don't know what this club is about club, but if you do, then you get to be in our club (club)."

"We don't get laid club"

"The club that only possibly exists or "The only club which questions its status as a club" or "the club which debates the meaning of clubs and the possibility of debating the meaning of clubs (club)"

I'd call my phil. club "Autochtonia" because i think the word's cool.

Sophia Circle is the name of the academic organization I joined when I was in college.

I don't have any specific suggestion as to name but I'd recommend you name your club with something not too pretentious sounding. I'd go for something simple and basic.

I'd get back if I have something more specific to suggest.

I always pondered using "The Hemlock Society" wink

Thanks guys, I've come up with a name and turned it in: Global Development and Ethics Club.

We're gonna discuss/debate current events, sci/tech development and implications, ethics, psychology+philosophy, business, life, etc.

I hope the name doesn't sound too corny.
