Subject: A Silly Poem on Foucault

"Power-mad Paul-Michel" Foucault

Just hated them bourgeoisie

But Jean Paul Sartre thought, you know

He lacked profundity

"Artists, good! Prisons, bad!"

Left Jean Paul unimpressed

But Foucault thought Sartre was mad

A kind of narcissist

Now Foucault had a tendency

To glorify the ancients

Whom he thought writhed in ecstasy

Each time they saw a penis

Perhaps confusing Roman baths

With bathhouses he spent

Some time exploring them, alas

(To a too great extent?)

When all is power and power is all

There's not much left to look for

Since power will befall us all

There isn't much we're good for.

Hm... the last few lines don't scan. But that's the critic that can't write poetry for his life talking...

Just me looking for power...

Yes, it was written too quickly. I tried to clean it up a bit, but lack the power to do it well.
