Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city." - Zachariah 14:1-2 The God of love and RAPE apparently! "I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and daughters, and they will eat one another's flesh during the stress of the siege imposed on them by the enemies who seek their lives." - Jeremiah 19:9 What's a benevolent god of love, justice and mercy doing making people eat each other and their children?! "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.'" - 1 Samuel 15:2-3 A monstrous, horrendous book! Does all this sound like the word of a loving God of justice, truth and hope, or more like the word of primitive warlike men in primitive warlike times?! "So you see, God chooses to show mercy to some, and he chooses to harden the hearts of others so they refuse to listen." - Romans 9:18 "For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness." - 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 FREE-WILL MY ASS!! |
