Occupation: Undergraduate student in Philosophy, and Political Science

Interests: Philosophy, sociology, music

Biography: I am a relatively young undergraduate studying philosophy and political science. I really love philosophy, but hope to move on to a doctoral degree in sociology (or perhaps do two doctorates, one in philosophy and one in sociology).

My favorite philosophers include (no order) Pierre Bourdieu (more of a sociologist); Michel Foucault; Gilbert Ryle; Martin Heidegger; W.V.O Quine; John Searle; Hubert Dreyfus. I am extremely interested, even passionate, about phenomenology (especially as it is adapted by Bourdieu to reconcile with objectivity and as it is placed in the social sciences), and very interested in (early) Heidegger and Merleau-Ponty.
