Hi, Surely its a matter of what you get out of it and what it costs you. If by watching the telly you gain insight, education and some entertainment that that would seem perfectly ethical from a personal point of view. But if what you get is fat, lazy and indoctrinated into unwholesome views of society then that would be perfectly unethical to watch it. Thus I think we can conclude that watching telly is ethical as long as Star Trek is playing! Cheers.

But that's like saying that everything anyone says is bias to his own POV and propaganda. Things would get really boring if everyone had a similar POV on one topic.
