I believe the correlate is there, if we are speaking of happiness as a feeling, bliss, whatever you wish to call it. I don't think it has to do with a person's intelligence in terms that we might call their IQ, but more a capacity for awareness or reflection on one's own life. Certain individuals with a high IQ are some of the most dense people you'll ever meet. The more one attempts to determine meaning or meaninglessness in life, to the particular events of life, the more certain routines which are available as possibilities might seem insignificant. If we rethink happiness, the issue itself changes a bit.

I believe the only type of bliss existent is that procured from ignorance.

How can one attain any state of complete happiness when there is simply so much in the world to be unhappy about?
