silence: one of my favorite sounds

We don't always get those right.

But surely, there is no pure silence. Even if you were to be in a tank you'd hear your body rumble, your ear drums bip, your heart beat...etc...I can hear the wind rustling through the leaves, the baby monitor, and the sausage's sweet little snores, distant traffic and the river. But no matter how hard I try I can find no silence

Well now that you mention it Ms Anthropist I do hear the sound of my computer's fan.

We sense. We reason. We predict.
We don't always get those right.

New Rule?

1. You must post a youtube link (or whatever) to the song you are listening to, otherwise..whats the point right?

Lustmord - "The Eliminating Angel" from Metavoid (2001)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpg03048Yow

Genre: Dark Ambient

It's what I imagine the soundtrack would be like to slowly moving through a wormhole in space on LSD, seeing visions of Hell on its shimmering walls.

It gets really good at about 3:50, but you must listen to all of it, if you can spare 10 minutes.
